I started on Etsy in 2008 with a handmade bag and quilt shop. I had so much fun, and had some success as well. Whenever I sold a bag or quilt, I would turn around and order more fabric. In 2010, when one of my favorite buildings in my small town went on the market, I knew that I had to do everything in my power to buy it. With the 12 foot tin ceilings and 10 foot windows, I knew it was screaming for a quilt shop. I opened my shop in April of 2011 with lots of second hand painted furniture and lots of help from my family and friends. It's my little slice of heaven. It's been a challenge to quit my job and take on this new business, but it's my passion, and I can't imagine doing anything else ! Listing my fabrics on Etsy was a no-brainer ! I had ordered fabric from the sellers here for years before I owned my shop, and knew that it would help me grow my business. Since opening here, I've sent fabric to Australia, Germany, Ukraine, Japan, Italy and even Tasmania. It's so exciting to know that my fabric is traveling the world, and is loved and appreciated 1,000's of miles away.
